Ethical Conduct the EDF Renewables way
EDF Renewables prides itself in ensuring that its contribution to the renewable energy sector adheres to the ethical standards and considerations as set out by South Africa’s laws and regulations and by our French parent company, EDF Energies Nouvelles.
Our codes of ethics are built on three core values
In order to deliver the highest standards of integrity, behavior, and business performance the following codes of ethics are applied by our employees, our suppliers and by the community development projects that are funded by our projects:
- ENSURE HEALTH AND SAFETY
- PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
- DEVELOP COMPETENCIES
- PREVENT DISCRIMINATION AND HARASSMENT
- RESPECT OPINIONS
- FIGHT AGAINST FRAUD
- LISTEN TO OTHERS
- ACT ETHICALLY
- GUARANTEE THE RIGHT TO REPORT CONCERNS
These codes align to the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which since 2001, have been voluntarily adopted by the EDF Group, to address matters related to human rights, labour rights, the environment and the fight against corruption.
